A new project - for free - Our Little Grand Design

Welcome to this new blog tracking our family exploits trying to build 'our little grand design' at the bottom of the garden for free !

I have been wanting to tackle a 'project' in the house for a long time, but financial , family and time constraints have meant that I have found reasons not to start one. One of the projects I had in mind was to deck the back of our garden and add a number of beach huts (fancy sheds) across the back. Well the constraints are still there but really I think its time to overcome them - so the plan is to take on this project but to try to achieve it for free, with the help of my partner, Geoff and our three children - Luke, Jack and Dan. So here you will find the first set of 'before' photographs.

This is a huge task - we want to use reclaimed wood (sourced for free) to deck the whole area at the back, build new fences and then build a series of 5 beach huts across the back (one each)

Everyone in the family will have their roles and we will all be adding to the blog, so check back to see how we are getting on
